What metrics does Calibrex track? Calibrex goes beyond simple rep counting to measure the quality of every lift using Velocity Based Training (VBT) principles. We track:
Core Metrics: Reps, Sets, Rest Time, and Weight Lifted.
Velocity: The speed of your lift in meters per second (m/s).
Power: Your output in Watts.
Range of Motion: Distance the weight travels.
Proprietary Scores (Premium):
Set Score: How well you executed the set vs. your target.
Difficulty Score: An estimate of how close you were to muscle failure (RPE).
Speed Score: How closely you hit your target velocity zone.
Tempo Score: Time under tension analysis.
Does Calibrex work with gym machines?
Yes. The Calibrex sensor is magnetic. You can snap it directly onto the weight stack or moving metal parts of almost any gym machine (cable towers, leg presses, smith machines, etc.) to track your reps and velocity instantly.
Do I need a Calibrex membership to use the device?
No. You can use your Calibrex sensor without a paid subscription. We call this the "Free Tier." You will still be able to use Free Train Mode, track your core live metrics (reps, sets, weight), and build custom workouts. The Membership is required to unlock AI coaching, historical data trends, and advanced VBT insights.
How to pair Calibrex?
Enable Bluetooth on your phone and allow the Calibrex app to connect.
Open the Calibrex app.
Tap the Calibrex icon in the top right corner of your home screen.
Wake up your Calibrex (pressing and hold the power button until you see a steady blue light which indicates it's ready for pairing).
Once your Calibrex is on with blue steady light, hit pair Calibrex on the Calibrex app. You'll see a green light, and your Calibrex will start pulsing with a blue light to indicate a successful connection
You can see your battery level, signal strength and other information about your Calibrex once paired.
Pro tip: When away from your phone, you can tap your power button 5 times quickly to see a light indication of your battery status.
